I spoke to soon about not being sick since I had been taking the Dandelion tincture. But in all fairness to Dandelion , I stop taking the Dandelion tincture sometime before Christmas and had planned to start it again afterwards. But I waited to late , I awoke last Wed. with the sniffles and a cough. I don't know if it was a cold , sinus problem or something viral , but it didn't last but a couple of days.
I did try to do part 2 of the " Herbal Ally " challenge. I made a Dandelion infusion , but I only drank a cup. What can I say , it was bitter , bitter and more bitter. Of course my taste buds were off , due to being sick but I just couldn't drink anymore. I'll probably try this part of the challenge again when I'm feeling better.

ReplyDeleteOh, Good Your over your whatever
ReplyDeleteit was you had.
Yeah, I like bitter tastes I
think more in the form of
just eating them fresh.
Tincture might be a different
story. I know I do not like
Goldenseal in tincture.
God Bless You and Yours!!!
Hi Flassie ~ The dandelion tincture I made taste kind of sweet. I put about 30 drops in a cup of water and drink. Did you mix the goldenseal with water or just add a few drops to the tongue ?
ReplyDelete~ Blessings ~
I think I tried it both ways
ReplyDeleteand both ways seemed bitter.
It was some from the store.
I think I might make some
cleaver succus using honey
instead of glycerine, so I
can have it for use into the
fall and winter.
God Bless You and Yours!!!
hope you're feeling better now! try roasting the dandelion roots, it makes them a bit more palatable...i like to make an herbal chai with them, if you'd like the recipe, i'll dig it up for you...
ReplyDeleteKristine is right, maybe roasted or in a chai would taste better to you. xx
